HRAPF to sponsor LGBTI persons to do a law course

Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum(HRAPF) will sponsor LGBTI persons to pursue a Diploma in Law at Kampala’s Law Development Centre. The persons to be sponsored are LGBTI persons that have been trained as community paralegals by HRAPF. The paralegals are expected to pick application forms from the Law Development Centre and apply for the Diploma by Friday 15th June 2018, for the 2018/2019 lot. Those that are admitted can apply to HRAPF and be considered for the scholarships.

The purpose of the scholarships is to continue empowering LGBTI persons in Uganda, and to increase their access to justice. HRAPF’s paralegal program continues to thrive and the paralegals continue to play an integral role in their communities. They handle cases, conduct outreach sessions, mobilize their community members, and connect their community to the HRAPF legal aid clinic among others.

We look forward to the continued support to the LGBTI community, and their increased access to justice, as we take human rights to all.
