Over the years, HRAPF has built important and strategic engagements with different coalitions and networks. This is for purposes of joint advocacy with other organizations within these broader entities. HRAPF is currently a member in the following coalitions and networks;

CIVIL SOCIETY COALITION ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND CONSTITUTIONAL LAW (CSCHRCL)

The CIVIL SOCIETY COALITION ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND CONSTITUTIONAL LAW(CSCHRCL). This is the Coalition that was formed in 2009 to oppose the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2009. HRAPF is a key actor in the Coalition sitting on the Steering Committee and chairing the Legal Committee. The Coalition recently won the US State Department’s Human Rights Defenders Award 2011 and the award was handed over to the Coalition by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the US embassy in Kampala on 3rd August 2012. HRAPF’s Executive Director, Adrian Jjuuko, was Coordinator of the Coalition in 2011 and he led the Coalition delegation that received the award from Secretary Clinton as well as delivering the acceptance speech. HRAPF engages in joint campaigns with the Coalition on the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, Section 15(6) (d) of the Equal Opportunities Commission Act petition and decriminalization efforts in Uganda.

LEGAL AID SERVICE PROVIDERS NETWORK (LASPNET)

HRAPF is a member of the LEGAL AID SERVICE PROVIDERS NETWORK (LASPNET) of Uganda. This network brings together all Legal Aid service Providers in Uganda. Until July 2012, HRAPF sat on the Steering committee of LASPNET as member on merit

EAST AND HORN OF AFRICA HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS NETWORK (EHARDP-NET)

HRAPF is a member of the EAST AND HORN OF AFRICA HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS NETWORK (EHARDP-NET).

ACCESS TO TREATMENT COALITION

HRAPF is a member of the ACCESS TO TREATMENT COALITION in Uganda headed byHEPS.

CITIZENS COALITION ON ELECTORAL DEMOCRACY (CCEDU)

HRAPF is a member of the CITIZENS COALITION ON ELECTORAL DEMOCRACY(CCEDU) which is hosted by the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI).

UGANDA NATIONAL NGO FORUM

HRAPF is a member of the UGANDA NATIONAL NGO FORUM.

HUMAN RIGHTS NETWORK UGANDA (HURINET)

HRAPF is also a member of HUMAN RIGHTS NETWORK UGANDA (HURINET).

NATIONAL COALITION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS

HRAPF is also a member of the National Coalition for Human Rights Defenders hosted by HURINET – Uganda. HRAPF seats on the steering committee of the coalition.
